Welcome to the next release of our quarterly MoveMan Pro
newsletter. This
quarter's newsletter just brings you up-to-date with what has
happened so far this year and what is leading up to the end
of the year.
MoveMan Pro
Due to the changing nature of technology we would like to advise
you all that any future versions of MoveMan Pro will be designed
to work on a minimum screen resolution of 1024 by 768. Do
note that this does not effect you currently, you will only need
to consider it when you are upgrading your MoveMan
version.
If you have any questions or concerns please contact the support
on 0870 4288 412 or email
support@eosuk.com.
Conferences
Enhanced Operating Systems would like to thank all of you that
took the time to visit our stand at the recent BAR and Britannia
conferences. We had a great time showing off our new info
packs and also catching up with the many of you out there that
are using MoveMan.
Online Backup
A big concern for companies is how they backup their business
critical software and documents. I know we have mentioned
it a couple of times in previous newsletters but this newsletter
offers you a specific solution targeted to make backing very
simple indeed. Gone is the hassle of finding that one
remaining CD or looking for the right sized memory stick.
EOS now offers the ability to backup you data onto a secure
online service. Configured to the highest standards this
will allow you to schedule backups to run when you are not in
the office and can backup any number of files including the
MoveMan data automatically over the internet.
If you are interested in seeing how this works please call the
office on 0870 4288 412 and we
will be more than happy to help.
MoveMan for TabletPC Release
The latest version of MoveMan for TabletPC, 2.01.0006 has been
released. This update is combined with the release of
MoveMan Pro version 4.28.0017 and provides the ability for
surveyors to produce quotes whilst out of the office and have
them synchronise back into moveman when they return to the
office.
This release is the product of the beta test that went out the
early part of this year. We would like to thank those who
beta tested the product for us, you help was greatly
appreciated.
Barcode Scanning
We would like to gauge user opinion on a topic that we have long
looked at in the office. We
are interested in getting feedback for all those who are
interested in implementing barcode scanning of storage container
movements. The main idea behind this is to use a system of
barcodes to denote the location of a container within the
warehouse and automate the logging of the position in MoveMan.
If you are interested in this please let us know and if we get
enough take up we will put together a plan for doing this.
We hope that this newsletter has been informative but we would
like to welcome your feedback on the content of future
publications. If you have any comments or suggestions for
items that you would like covered in future publications please
forward them to moveman@eosuk.com
Alternatively should you wish to unsubscribe to this newsletter
reply to this message but put Unsubscribe in the subject header.
After this e-mail has been received you will no longer be sent
any further newsletters.
